      Dual Disc Clutch

Are there any advantages to running a dual disc clutch rather than a single disc?

      Thanks

Other than a double in friction surface, usually dual discs can be made smaller and lighter weight. So you end up with the same torque capacity with a reduction in rotational inertia.

A dual disk with a 2400 lb pressure plate has a higher torque rating than a single with a 3600 lb plate. Should be easier to drive and less leg to operate it too.
