      AIRRIDE TECH(open track event)

      Did anyone here go????????

I know all the big mags where there....Did you go steve?

Rumor has it there was 100 or so cars there including about 40 cars with all access passes on the windshield which meant the keys were in them! Even the Chicayne was there tearing up the track, even pushed it so hard it broke some stuff and did some 100mph smokies on the straight aways, spun it out a couple times etc, etc,! Someone may correct me but I think there were two or three nascar truck drivers there driving the cars as well?

No.. I am on vacation in a week so I am writing like a madman trying to get a story on brake theory done..

Johnny went and out publisher Ed.. I also know they did take testing equipment along to the event..

Hopefully they got pics and video.. would have like to see my favorite car Chicayne tear it up!

I think Johnny was just going to do a Speed Reading deal on it.. I see that the whole air ride thing could make for a great tech story. maybe he will install it on the '76 Camaro.. lol

Not my car but it would be interesting since we have fresh test data on the car as it sits now..

I will pitch the idea next week..

I went too. It was really cool seeing Chicayne on the road course...and in the dirt...!
It was also cool being chaufferred by Boris Said in a supercharged '05 'Stang with air ride...

Lots of great cars- I got rides in many and drove a few more. Some were flawless, others got sidelined, but nothing too serious- First time track bugs mostly.

Awesome event. Airbags aren't just for the fairgrounds anymore...
