Top photo is when I bought the car, bottom is the car today.

Im in the final stages of finishing this car and dont like all of the chrome. Im going to add flares to make the car street legal. The car will remain Sunfire Yellow. What would this car look like de-chromed and everything powder coated in gloss black. Opinions are appreciated.

The SBC 427 previously had 565hp. I just couldnt live with that so it is getting refreshed with hand ported afr 245s, ported intake, 1:7 shaft rockers, and a solid roller cam. Shooting for low 700s, lol.

If you are gonna flare it...
Can I beg you not to do bolt-ons?
      Sure they look cool.

But spending the money on actually widening the rear arches would make it look AWESOME.

      Er.

      lol.
Sweet ride, hope someone helps you with your PS issues.

The flares will be similar to this car. My car will not have a spoiler. I notice we are Asian neighbors, lol.

I personally like the chrome on the old Vettes. The blacked out chrome screams 1980 in my mind.

But, having said that, I don't think there is much you could do to this car that would not look totally awesome.

I like the flares in the photo. Have you looked at 1963 Grand Sport flares? They are definitely cool.

If I see a majority of people favoring chrome, I will leave the chrome alone for now. I can always powder coat at a later date if I change my mind.
