Trunk size versus fuel tank size

Hello all...as Im not where my car is right now Im wondering if anyone knows if a standard fuel tank would fit in the trunk of a second gen F-body? Ive looked at the tank size, which is 40 1/8" X 20 5/8" X 7", but I have no idea how big the trunk and the trunk opening is. Anyone?

An Opel Manta tank huh? Interesting. I think a stock tank would be ideal so as to avoid having to have a custom one made. Ill keep that in mind. And that has the added bonus of using the stock tank/position to cover the second part of my idea.

I don't have dimensions but the opening is small. The stock 2nd gen tank would not fit through the opening. It might fit in the trunk but not without cutting a big hole to get it in there.
