Nice job on the car, thanks for taking the time to post the pictures. You've got some skills, what you spent at the shop could have paid for the tools to do it yourself. Hind sit is 20/20 though.

Nice build, Your obviously talented and not afraid of work. You definitely could have did the IFS install your self. And you probably have figured out by now how to fix your header clearance issue. I had a Issue with fitting Fox body BBK's in my Falcon with the R&C motorsports kit. I notched my rail on the passenger side, then filled it back in. My rails have all been boxed with 10 ga. plate also.
