      Project Seventy Silver Legacy Camaro

Well I started the project a while ago and decided that I would put up the thread now that it is getting close to being done.
It was a nice car to start with, got it out of Nevada but it had just come from California before I got it. The body was in primer so you never know what your going to get under that. It did have a GM 350HO engine and 400 tranny with a new rear end so i figured it was a good starter.

Here is some shots and what I uncovered.

The rear tail pan had been crashed so off with the old and we installed a new rear section.

I wanted to do a few body mods to the Camaro but not go over the top. Simple things like smooth the bumber and french them into the fenders, weld up the valance and headlight area, make a cool lower valance, rear spoiler and vett door handles.
      Here is the front bumpers.

Now you can see how the bumper looks and the design on the lower valance.

Here is the front with the lower valance and bumper all done.

Here is a look at the rear spoiler and making it lower than stock or the small short stock one.

Here is the door handle from the Corvette that was installed.

The project will get Detroit Speed Suspension, Baer Brakes, Intro Custom Wheels and BFGoodrich tires. Some Mercedes Silver paint from PPG and other goodies to make a cool driver out of this car.
I will update with some more pictures soon.
      Thanks for checking it out.

Very nice. I really like the front bumper treatment. It is subtle but a real improvement.

Well the next big part of this build was the suspension and engine work. Wanted to AutoCross the heck out of this Camaro so I looked toward Detroit Speed for the Suspension parts, Baer Brakes for stopping power, Intro Custom Wheels for the 18" wheels and BFG for the tires. Here is some photo's of that part of this build.

The next part was the Vintage Air Front Runner for the 350 engine.

      Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Here is a few pictures of the Camaro after the paint shop got the color just right on the car with the hood and deck lid having the Charcoal stripe on the Mercedes Silver body color.

I will post some of the inside wiring and dash pictures as I am using the Greening Auto fiber glass dash that we will be wrapping with leather and the Classic Instrument Gauges and ridetech Tiger Cage roll bar.

Here is the work on the Fiberglass Greening Auto Dash. Also made our own gauge bezel to mount the Classic Instrument Guages.

Wiring the car was next as some point in it's life there was some funny things that were added or cut out so an American AutoWire Harness was installed.

I will add more interior and dash pictures later.

Here are a few pictures of the interior and dash.

Tiger Cage is in and fits really nice...

The Classic Gauges and the covered Dash was a big help to the look.

The Color is from a 2007 Mercedes, I am not sure on the paint code. The Charcoal is just the same color that we added black to just give it a different look.

The Wheels are 18" and the tires are 255 on the front and 295 on the rear both BFG tires.

Well it is that time...The Camaro is finally done and I am going to take it on its first road trip over the weekend.

Zane at Cotati Speed Shop had the task of doing the last final items as I had run out of time and just wanted it done so i could drive it.

The car has so many little tweeks to make it just what I wanted and I love the way it turned out.

      Enjoy the pictures.

I will be out driving over the weekend and then it goes to the Flowmaster Booth at Goodguys West Coast Nationals this coming weekend. If you come to the event, check it out in person.

See you on the road and the AutoCross.
