The problem is he needs more pics, they must be converted to some bizarre, archaic computer format that my kid laughed at because it was so old, he needs me to write up a story about the whole build AND it must be done in two days because of the production deadline. So, I put my life literally on hold, scramble around, take more pics, find and upload the format, get them converted, write up the story about the car and get them to him on time everything is a go then proudly waited three months for the issue to come out....and he doesnt put my car in the said feature....I couldnt believe it! what a . . . . !!!

I emailed him about it no response although when the whole thing was going on he would email me back within minutes.

Didnt mean to rain on your parade man but the whole episode still pizzes me off when I think about it
Thats sucks. Its the kind of story I would read. If it makes you feel any better, your build has quite the following here on PT.com. I know I follow it.

I saw this issue. Got to see it in person too at SEMA. Nice run on the Wilwood Speed Stop except for that first time...

My Maverick in Popular Hot Rodding

Chris, congrats on your SEMA OUSCI invite. My wife and I headed out for a day at SEMA and your Maverick was looking awesome. I can't wait to catch up with you this March at the GG's show at TMS to hear about your experience.

Thanks guys. This has been quite a year for the my little Mav. I've had a blast. Hopefully next year the driver can get his act together and help it perform. First things first. Get a new motor. I have less than 4 months to get it running again.

It was nice to meet you Chris. I am still disappointed that you were in a different run group than our Mustang. I was still able to capture a little media of your car.

Did I miss something? Is it dead or just weary? 4 months... that is tight for me... what is in four months? By the way, saw you run the car at TMS. You must have parked in four different places, I did a double take at first because I thought there was more than one blue Maverick.

The air cleaner stud broke off and the motor tried to eat it on our way home from Vegas. It cracked the block (cylinder wall) and has done what might be irreparable damage to the head and piston. Had to tow it home from Amarillo. It was sad. I was sooo proud to have driven it that far, raced it and was almost home. It was running really well.

Goodguys Lonestar Spring Nationals is 3/14 - 3/16 and then there is a new race event from Ultimate Street Car Association the following weekend also at TMS.

Yeah. I got around that Saturday and parked in a few places. Its amazing how many people dont make it back to the auto-x section. They are missing such a great show.

I started in the vendor section... heard the tires complaining... my son and I headed over to the auto-x and almost missed the rest of the show! Guess I'm just backwards.

3/14... hmmm... my car is in for paint and some fabrication now, not sure that is a bit close!
