I have this on my Elky and Chevelle... http://www.spal-usa.com/fans/automat...es/fanpwm.html and it's water resistant so you can mount it anywhere.

What fan or fans are you planning on using? That makes a big difference....

      I'm running this:
      http://www.flex-a-lite.com/accessori...re-sensor.html
I had the controller crap out on me, but they sent a new one ASAP free. No problems since. I like that its variable, and will run one or two fans when needed. It also has start up protection which basically means it will not come on for 6 seconds so all power goes to starter. Relays are all there with no added stuff to buy. Yes, you can make your own, but this is easy. Has a probe for radiator, or a screw in type sensor. I've had the big block out in 95 degree heat and the controller performed flawlessly. FWIW, I am running 2 Spal 10" fans in a Speedway aluminum shroud. Lots of people have trouble with 1st Gens and electric fans, but mine never has any issues.

I also like the Dakota digital one, but the Flex a lite is basically plug and play and that was my deciding factor on the 67.

That's a bummer! The ones I have work great. Now I have to go a different route on my truck.

I just bought the DD one for our SuperBee project - seems to be a nice piece with lots of adjustability. It's a bit of a pain on a "done" car since it has to be installed inside the cabin but the fact that it can share the autometer gauge sender is a huge plus - especially on a dodge with few options for sensors.

Is the Dakota Digital piece progressive or is it just like an adjustable on/off switch?

It's an adjustable on/off switch. For pwm fan controller, Painless makes one but it's expensive.

I Have been Very Pleased with my DC Controls Fan Controller - http://dccontrol.com/constant_temper...ontrollers.htm

I have been running this setup since 2006 and it works like a charm even with HIGH Amp draw fans ! This is used on my 11:1 450HP Pontiac 455 CI and have never had issues.

The DC Controls Fan controller works flawless. Its great the controller starts up the fan @ 50% so no real high amp draw, and it regulates the speed of the fan as needed to keep the temp steady. A real nice feature about this controller is the maintained engine temp, rather than unsteady temps caused by cheap on / off relay temp swiches. The cheap units kick on when the engine gets hot , then kick off when the engine gets cool, kicks back on when hot, back off when cool...........lots of heat cycles, rather that maintaing a temp.

No more WWHHHOOOSSSSCCCHHHHH...... sound from the flex fan.

I've always been a little unsure which of those two one needs to use - and the instructions don't say anything about dual fans but I assume they can be used.

Sounds like the DCcontrol stuff would work good but their website isn't very clear on anything. I think you would need to call them to clarify what the hell you would need.
