Boss 338 wheels and C6 calipers - pictures added

Hello wondering if anyone is driving with the set of 338 Boss wheels and C6 calipers F/R. If so are you using a spacer?

If anyone else has the Boss 338 wheels with other type of brakes, would you mind printing out the Kore 3 template

      Front Template

      Rear Template

and test fitting them please....much appreciated.

Well I went ahead and ordered the wheels. I took some pictures showing the template mentioned above.

      Wheels are the Boss 338 18x8 4.5"BS and 18x9.5 5" BS

C6 Z51 - fitment looks to me very good.

C6 - Fitment has more than enough space.

And one more picture showing what it would look like with the Z51 Rotors and the wheels.

Thanks for posting those pics! So the Z51's will fit without a spacer?

I remember seeing a pic on here somewhere of a guy that had the Z51's with the 338's and he said he just had to use a flush-mount valve stem.

      Well I have more pictures

Here i took the template of the Z51
Here is the front wheel 18x8 4.5" BS

This is the rear. 5" of BS on the 18x9.5 I think its a tad close, and I might need the low profile valve stem, just like Cliff mentioned.

Unfortunately I have not mounted them yet.

I have not finished with the suspension at all, as I had other issues.

Hopefully by the end of this month it will be mounted and I will update the thread.

What kind of car? That backspace doesn't seem like enough for most of the cars we sell wheel for.

And what did it take you, maybe 10 minutes with the template Kore3 provides online? So there is not one wheel vendor on here who can walk back to their wheel selection and spend a half day checking wheel clearence? How hard would it be to create a data base for wheels that clear C5 & C6 brake conversions? If I was in the wheel business, especially for the pro-touring customers, I would take advantage of the opportunity and make a list of wheels that are known to clear these brake systems. Just an observation, takes away everyone guessing and shipping wheels back and forth. Glad to see you got "lucky" and they cleared.

Sorry no updates. I had to put the project on hold as my wife and I are having a baby

I could build the front spindle and test fit. Maybe this weekend I will try that.

Sorry for the delay but I hope you understand.

Ok, so here are the major updates.

      C6 Z51 Rotors with Boss 338

      Back of the caliper

My mistake on the valve stem, it was mention above and for some odd reason I went with the regular size. Either way, I ordered the flush mount valve stems from Summit part # MRG-5102 I also had to order a 0.125" spacer from Summit 300-7500 which should be enough to bring the wheel out because of this

i know the picture is not the est, but i can barely fit a dime in there. So hopefully with the spacer it should be more than enough.
I honestly need to thank Tobin from Kore3 as he helped me with every single detail possible. This guy is a calculator as well!

Just in case anyone wanted to see C6 calipers. I went and bought a C6 rotor so I could see the difference as far as fitment between both the C6 and the Z51 rotors.

      So here....

Plenty of space between the caliper and the wheel. You only need a shorter valve stem and should be good to go.
