      Atlanta, GA Subscribers?

I'm interested in finding people in the area that are into the "Pro-Touring," auto x hobby. I'd like to swap ideas, get to know the ins and outs of the local auto x scene. My current project is a 68 chevelle, posted pics on the way. Anyone out there ?

I'm in Acworth, about 30 miles north of Atlanta. Customer projects have put my personal ones on hold somewhat, but my specialty is pro-touring type builds. Stop by sometime if you get a chance! I always enjoy talking to board members. Jeff Tate, one of the moderators, works about 3-4 miles from my shop at Day's Chevrolet.

Im really stoked at the positive feedback from everybody here! I need to down load some of my pics. Ive got a pretty well finished ride. Caught the "pro-street" bug and am working on changing things up a little. Ditch the bench seats, find a 8.5" posi unit, things like that. You?

Its OE, out of a very low mileage LT1 (35K or so). I only replaced it because I wanted a 383. Its 3.48, but one piece rear main, so it won't work in your early 2 piece seal block.

I spent lots of time in Tucker, working for Year One/Next Gen before they moved out to the boonies.

I'm a little north of you up in Woodstock. Check out http://www.soloatlanta.com/ for the local auto cross scene. I only did one event with them last year, but seems like a good group of people. Only saw one older vehicle since it was more of a "come try auto cross" kind of an event. The PT events are a must! You will have a great time with some amazing people and learn so much about the sport that sometime doesn't translate through pictures. Oh ya, you can usually get a ride in some awesome cars too!

I've managed to convince my wife. I've got a buddy in Chattanooga that just finished his 65 fast back mustang that's interested as well. I just have to get my transmission in and I'll be ready. You have a convoy riding from Atl?
