Holley has recently released a slew of accessory brackets for the LS motors to aid in swapping to other vehicles. I like the look of their high mount AC brackets. Gets it out of the way while still looking like the other cast brackets.

You are right I also would like to see how it fits compared to KWIK AC bracket, which I currently have

The Holley AC bracket I've seen is made to fit the R4 compressor, not a Sanden.

They will offer both. And IMO it looks better than the qwik especially if you r running corvette accy system because it matches exactly the vette alt bracket and doesn't look like a bunch of billet flat stock that's bolted together

Bracket pictured above is for the Sanden compressor. Pictured below is for the R4 compressor.

Not a real picture, but this shows the Sanden compressor bracket installed.

Good to see another option. When I did my first swap S&P was about the only game in town, and they were expensive. I ended up making my own brackets.
Kwik went on my second swap. Thinking I'll go with the Holley brackets on the next. They do look good and are priced right.

Any idea of availability? Buy now, have it ... when?

The R4 compressor bracket can be ordered now from Summit. Dunno if it is really available yet.

So my question is, since I have to buy a compressor anyway, which is better & why? Car originally had the R4 style compressor.

These are nice, and they are not expensive, either.

Bought the R4 brkt couple weeks ago from Pace and had it in a couple days. Installed but still need to pick up a compressor. Nice piece that fits well with the vette brkt.

We installed the KWIK on the 69 Camaro/LS3 here in the shop, and it's ugly. The cast Holley part looks better. Maybe I'll give Pace a call.

Robin L. told me at ls fest they were on the shelf in BG so getting them is not a problem. They had them on display and they are nice looking

Can you post a pic of the installed bracket?

I really like this bracket. I wish they would also make them for the smaller SD-7 compressor.

Here are the links and prices listed in Summit.

I wonder what the belt loading and tracking will be like. The factory arrangement uses a separate belt for the A/C. The W/P wrap % is a bit concerning as well if the above is correct.

There is very little difference in the belt pully coverage on the Holley setup compared to the stock GM setup from the factory. From the factory there is a tension pulley at the location in front of passenger side head.

Holley has had this bracket on their test wagon since before power tour. I don't think they have a issue with the WP slipping

If someone were worried about the water pump slipping they could always relocate the power steering reservoir and install another idler pulley in it's place. Keep the idler pulley as close to the water pump as possible and you would lose very little wrap on the alt. pulley.

Bringing back an old thread. Anyone have pros/cons on the R4 style compressor compared to the Sanden unit?

How about with high rise valve covers, any interference like with the corvette alternator bracket?

The R4 pump cannot rev past 4000 rpms you have to create a device to shut it down using the tach as a switch. And it is ugly. Holly did not have the sanden available when I bought my setup so I found an adaptor kit from classic auto air to mount the sander sd5 or 7. The big downside to this setup is the f body steering pump setup doesn't work so you have to get the C5 setup. IMO I would go with the GMPP setup next time. But the quality and fit is nice.
