I'm currently talking with american eagle about making a 19 inch boss 338. They say that they don't see the demand but would consider it if shown otherwise. I really feel this is the best looking classic/modern crossover wheel. I believe many of you agree by how many people are riding on them with classic muscle cars. Not to mention they are completely manufacrured in the states and are a very affordable choice in the spectrum of wheels. They said they are working on the backspace and centerbore issues as we speak. I just think that they would see a heck of alot more business if there were 18/19 or 19/20 combos with the perfect fit (offset/backspace) and larger rear lips. Anyone feel free to chime in and if you are interested, I'd like to try to get something together to show the demand.

Thanks

What I would much rather see is the 227's made in 18" versions. That wheel is a great option for pro-touring. The other idea is offer more backspacing options on the 338's before adding another size. JMO

x2, I would buy the 227 in 18" before I would the 338 in 19". Would also like to see more BS options, along with rims wider than 10".

I agree about the options on backspacing is the big issue. I have the 338's on my car and the rears work but not perfect. I also have an aftermarket subframe and wish they had backspacing options to run a 9.5" wide wheel up front.
I would sell the 338's in favor of the 227's any day though!

19's would be great. I want an 18 and 19 rear combo......Debating right now to go with the 18/20 combo or 18s all around on my 68 lemans. Great looking wheels.

I would have bought a set of 338's but they don't offer the right width or backset for my 67 lemans. I need an 18X9 with 5.75" backset and all they have is 18X9.5 with 5" backset.

Everyone that I see here running their 9.5" wheel says that they dont fit and are looking for new wheels.

I forgot I even posted this thread! lol... yeah, I ditched this mission a while back when it only led to a bunch of dead ends. I am currently working with a company to produce my own version of a classic 5 spoke wheel. It will be available in any size, any back spacing, and any finish. Unfortunately I am not a big shot with tons of dough, so I will not be able to offer an affordable cast version. They will all be forged 2 and 3 piece. I will be sure to post an advertisement as soon as the prototypes are in my hands!

Well, initially I will only be doing specialty orders one by one. Hopefully there will be enough interest to allow me to produce an affordable line! It's quite ironic that it is cheaper to produce a high end wheel! Lol look for things to come from www.streetmetalconcepts.com it's in the "newborn" stage right now!

I have the 338s on my first gen Camaro. 18/20 set up. I wish I had seen the 227s. I like those much better. Might be a swap in the future.

I prefer the "old school" 5-spoke look. I like the 338's, but as already mentioned, not enough options regarding backspacing. They ain't cheap, but Colorado Custom's sells a wheel that looks similar and will do any backspacing you want. Also more size options available. I went with 18x9's in the front and 20x12's in the rear. They also have available in 19"

I wish! I hounded them for weeks and talked to people on every level. They said there was no demand for a 19 to justify it!

I love the boss 338 but the only offer crappy backspace and offsets. I want that style wheel in a 20x12 for the rear and 19x9 up front.
