You can fit a 275 in the rear without tubbing; but your backspacing will have to be spot on, which 20mm isn't and you will have to roll the inner fender lips or cut them off. The least you can get away with on a drum brake setup would be in the 4.75-5" BS (figure +.25" if converting to disk) which on your rims would be in the +0-6mm offset range (this will still rub on this inside).

In the front a 275 can fit, but I don't have those particulars...

i'll be running 17x8 in the front on a staggered setup with a 20mm offset thinking 245 40 17 . thx mucho for the info i kinda figured i'd have to trim the outer quarter. hmm think i need to go with the offset dse hangers? or does that involve another fuel tank

No need to mess with the rear suspension, that has nothing to do with wheel fitment. You could probably run a 1" wheel adapter (not a spacer) and be ok, might need some mesaging with a BFH though.

You'll want to run a 245/45/17 in the front, a 245/40 will be too short and look disproportionate to the rear.

hmm stepping into another problem doin adapters is my wheels are a true 5x120 figured i could have the .6 machined out if it didn't fit but finding a adapter from 5.4.75 to 5x 120 is being a problem

They're not that hard to find. Just search Google for "5x4.75 to 5x120 adapters".

One of the many that pop up: http://www.performancewheeladapters....0-Wheel/Detail

I was never able to get anything more than a 9" on my Nova's. 275's look good back there.

How?! That much backspacing would put it under the frame rail. You have any pictures?

Magic..... is that a half leaf suspension? Panard bar would be a must.

      18x9.5 on a 1970 nova

after all the great info i have decided to change my front wheels to 18's to tho the problem is tsw only offers them in 18x8 with a 1.5'' lip and a 20 mm offset or a 32 or should i grab another set of 18x 9.5 's and run adapters up front to ?
