I would like to know what you guys have used for a pull handle style parking brake handle, what handle and cables did you use and where did you get you parts from? Pics are welcome

Thanks

We have always used Lokar stuff and it works great on drum brakes and some internal drum discs but the problem we have had is that there just isn't enough leverage in the handle and the ratchet is too coarse. in other words you pull with one hand as much as you can and its just not enough so you use two hands and PULL and then it works....sorta.

If you got room I recommend this http://store.controlcables.com/servlet/Detail?no=1582 it's easy to mount and the operation is awesome. Push to set it and push once more and it releases. At $65 it's not junkyard cheap but way cheaper than most aftermarket stuff. They also have a pull handles and can custom make cables for anything based on your measurment and requirements.

Just curious, what kind of car and where is the stock handle?

I'm thinking of doing this in my 79z28, It has the foot pedal as of now but was thinking of changing it.

I used a pull handle, lines, and brakes from an 98 Camaro. I also used the console from a 94 Camaro.

I used one I found at Pick N Pull from a Honda (Civic I think) for $10. The black vinyl matches my interior good and it works well for me.
