New pics of my 1977 Trans Am with 18" Rushforth Rated X wheels. I ended up running 245/40 nitto 555s in the front and 285/40 in the back. I have a rubbing issue with the rear fender lip and have an eastwood fender roller on the way. Everything else clears with room to spare. I even think that next time I buy tires Ill put 255/40 on the front. 465434654246541

Thanks a ton. I haven't heard any feedback throughout the build so it's nice to finally tell people about it and hear what they think. I have a ghosted bird on the hood that looks really cool.

I'm really hoping to make some of the autocross events with it this year. I've got a little bit of work yet to go and then testing before that though.

Looks bad ass! Perfect finish for that paint scheme too!

Thanks Jon
You were a big help on these wheels. I'll definatly make sure they get seen and that everyone knows to go to Driverz Inc to get them.

That really looks great! But why aren't the center caps on the front wheels? Is there a clearance issue?

There was a clearance issue. Jon at Driverz Inc is getting me some deeper caps to clear the bearing cap. Im guessing thats my fault though since I did all my own measuring. I am otherwise very happy with the fittment.

What backspace are they front and back? And hows your clearance on the inner wheel well on the back tires?

18x8 front with 4.5 bs and 18x10 rear with 5.0 bs. My rear probably won't help you since my moser 12 bolt is narrowed slightly but the front is factory and fits with tons of room. I could have went with one or two sizes bigger in the front with little problems. My rears actually come out flush with the fenders so this weekend I will be rolling the rear fenders of my freshly painted car.

First of all, Thanks so much for joining the Rushforth family. Secondly, OMG, that looks AWESOME! I'm so stoked that these cars are gaining popularity and the no T-Top roof with silver and brushed Rated-Xes is just way too cool. So cool.

I'm proud to be a part of such a cool thing. I saved for ever and knew just what wheels I wanted. You can really see the quality of your wheels yet the price is much lower than comparable rims. Believe me I looked. Im not a photographer but please feel free to use any photos. There will be more pics posted on here as things move along. Thanks again

Damn that looks great! Nice car man, and you did a pretty good job on not being a photographer. That third picture is awesome.

Thats what I was thinking, and why I asked. The dish looked a little bigger than I thought it would be normally. How much did you narrow the rearend? I am getting ready to put a rearend that is 2" shorter into my 2nd gen and my wheels have 4.75" backspace. I am hoping I don't need more backspace since the wheels are already built

Your Trans Am came out great as I am a big fan of older TA's. Jason Rushforth did a good job on the wheels...

Car looks great. You probably could have gone with more BS front and rear. That 3rd pic is a good one...would be 100% perfect with the front spoiler on.

My rear is narrowed 1.5 but I did all my measuring using the percys tool which I highly recommend. The outside of my rear tire is flush with the fender and on the inside I can barely fit my hand in between the tire and the leaf.

Sweet ride. I never saw your build link. You should put it in your signature.

Yes they are the year one flares and I don't recommend them. They take an unreal amount of time to fit and make look right. Justin I'll try to get you some pics asap.
