Hi... I am kinda new to the site. I am building a 61 Impala Bubbletop. I am using a Corvette LS 2 for my power plant.
I want my car be a nice driver. No too stiff no to mushy. I want it to corner nice and stop just as well. I don't want to do air bags. Don't like them.
I have been looking at Hotchkiss for suspension and Kore3 for my brakes. Really expensive. Is there any less expensive ways to accomplish my goals. The Kore 3 qoute was $2600. using Z51 option. The Hitchkiss kit is around $600. I like the Corvette big brake system.
My question is What would you do or what have you done to your car?

One way to save a nice chunk of money is to buy used brake parts to do the Kore3 upgrade. Obviously certain parts you'll want to buy new, but you can save a chunk by getting used calipers and abutments.

I just spoke with Tobin, he is revising my quote for my car. Today on car-parts.com I purchased a full set front and back C5 Zo6 calipers pads all brackets and lines for $195 including shipping. The car had 10,000 miles on it. WOO HOO. I will repost my bid tomorrow.

I'd sell that stock frame, cut the floor completly out and give Craig at Art Morrison a call with a credit card number.
