Im about to minitub my 69 camaro rs ss and it has the original 12 bolt rear end ,the question is ,should I narrow it and add the quad link brackets ..or should I sell it to one of the camaros.net purist ,and fund for a new 12 bolt ? I tried looking at the dse website but i couldnt see an option for the brackets and the 12 bolt housing alone ,just a complete 12bolt housing.

Aftermarket 12 bolts are usually a lot better piece than the old factory parts.....I'd go with a complete new assembly.

I'd sell it for the resto value and get a new one. FYI - Frank can get you a housing w brackets welded if you need one...

I remember seeing a similar post a while back and I think it said 1st gen 12-bolts were bring about $1500 and you can get a set-up Moser for that. I know Frank did chime in. Bottom line, sell it to a purist and get a new aftermarket, just my .02

call DSE. I know we can do bare housings. That may help your decision.

Does the original one have the correct gearing and differential unit you want already?

If that original rear has a desirable code, anything posi, it is worth $1200 to $2500 depending on exactly what the code is. Then we can set you up with a already narrowed, new heavier duty complete rear with all the good stuff for $3000. It will cost you at least a grand to anrrow the rear and do new axles.
Get the code of the front of the passenger tube half way between the center section and end. It will be
