A good combo. We have the Ride Tech shocks on the One Lap Camaro.

What made you decide to recess the top and weld it. My buddy talked me out of it.

Any more pics of your setup? Did you re-drill the upper holes for the control arm yet? The directions are wrong.

Primarily to allow for better access to weld the top. The other reason being that I once I fit the bottom edge of the bracket, there was a little bit of interference with that lip. I could have cut down more off the bottom edge, but just decided against it. Having a solid bead ALL the way across the top just makes me feel better about the install.

I am not using Speedtech's control arms. I am using Hotchkis pieces. Hotchkis moves the lower ball joint to allow for more caster and that is the route I chose.

      Modded lower arm

The upper control arm mounting holes are lowered for camber gain, also using the ATS spindles.

      TBART.

I know why. I am just on the fence as to whether or not I will do that with the Hotchkis arms. So by that logic, you are using the standard height ATS spindles? Or will your camber curve be very aggressive? And what are you doing for the steering arm?

I misunderstood what you meant by the lowers, my caster will be 4.5 to 5.5 when done. camber gain I think was 1* per inch of travel if I remember correctly.

I'm using the tall spindles, speedtech has a whole kit with steering arms and all the linkage, they moved some stuff around and made it better. It is not overly aggressive, I have the numbers written down some where.

Sounds good. I am running stock spindles. I had a long discussion ages ago with Marcus at SC&C in regards to the ATS spindles. It didn't seem like an advantage at that point. ATS hadn't figured out the 2nd Gen steering arm issue at that time. Since then, I have not looked into the AFX spindles.

We now have the complete kit available and it includes everything you need to use the AFX spindles coil over shocks either ridetechs or Qa1's and a Lee box including the steering linkage a revised pitman arm, idler arm relocation, steering arms, upper and lower control arms. i will have some good pictures next week

Marcus was using chevelle arms at the time before Speedtech took over ATS, I have chevelle arms but they are no where as nice as the billet ones I got from SpeedTech. The SpeedTech arms I'm sure are set up for the best numbers compared to just using arms from another car.
