I'm trying to figure out what is the largest width wheel I can fit under the stock rear wheelwell of an Xbody. I'm not near my car right now due to being deployed and want to place an order before I leave to go home. I'm looking at 18X9 6" backspace but I'm not quite sure it will fit. I'm willing to relocate the shocks to the inside of the spring if necessary. It has 17"X8" w/4.5" backspace on it now and is about as far as I'm willing to go to the outside. Thanks

6" BS will put the tire right against the inner front wheel well if you have any lowering springs. I run 5.75" and I have 1/4 of clearance using 275/40x18's with 2-3" drop leafs.

And a sincere thank you for serving our country :usa:

You're welcome. Being doing it for 17 1/2 years. So what rear wheel width are you running with that clearance?

18 x 9 and i have not touched the inner wheel lip. If you have the lip rolled I would consider 5.5" BS as a minimum and 5.75 as the max.

I just bought the Boss 338 18x9.5 w/ 5"BS

Hopefully today Mr. Brown decides to leave the wheels at the house. I will test fit them and post a pic if you want.

Yes I would like to see that wheel and the clearances you have on it if the tubs are stock.
