New Sway bars

I'm currently in the market to upgrade my stock bars on my 72 chevelle ss. With so many bars available through many aftermarket company"s, it makes it difficult selecting a set. I'm not looking to auto x my car but would like to feel a difference. Hotchkis any good? or splined vs hollow?? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

Thats a good thread. I had to bend my arms also, I put the arm in the vice, with it marked off where I needed the critical bend. Applied some heat with the oxy-act rose bud and each arm came out perfect. And the speedway bars are only 90 bucks each so thats not bad. Ill post some build pics soon . I like the splined bars. I have them on the rear and front now. JR

We were recently a part of the Super Chevy suspension test, and while results aren't out yet, when comes to A-Bodies, Hotchkis bolt-on parts may not be the cheapest, the most high-zoot, or the most complicated - but they are among the fastest and the easiest to install.

Hellwig has a lot of new products in the pipeline for the 68-72 A-Body. Currrently we have a 1-5/16" tubular front bar available and beginning Dec. 1 will have our adjustable Pro-touring Rear sway bar available for 68-72 GM A-body applications. The Pro-touring rear bar is a 1-1/8" dia tubular sway bar that mounts to the axle instead of the control arms. This eliminates the binding of the suspension by allowing the lower control arms to freely articulate. The rear sway bar has three holes to allow adjustment of roll stiffness and is attached to the upper control arm crossmember using our adjustable end links to accommodate stock or lowered ride heights.
