I have seen the BRP setup and the Competition Engineering setup and the Chassisworks setups and all the them pose the problem of exhaust routing in the factory location.... I have 3" exhaust in the factory location and its all mandrel bent, and I want to keep it and not be forced into going back to turndowns... I want to relocate the shocks inboard for more tire clearance on my stock wheel wells and I have seen and read about options and they are all about the same. I wanted to see if there is a chance of using a set of stock upper shock mounts like the factory ones here:

I would simply mount them in the trunk and use my existing shocks and use the Caltracs inner mounts... Would that work? I can then put the shocks anywhere I want correct, thus not interferring with my 3" mandrel bent exhaust......
I am looking at running an 18x10 in rear stock wheel wells, more on this in the wheels/tires forum... This would give me the ideal setup and the shocks would not rub the tires..
Opinions, thoughts, etc?
