I am getting ready to order the AR CL205 for my 69 camaro. I have hotchkis springs in the rear with C4 rotors and LT1 calipers. In the front ive got hotchkis springs with C4 rotors and C5 calipers. I want to use an 18 x 8 fr and 18 x 9/9.5 in the rear. I am trying to find out what the best backspacing is for both. the rears i want to use a 275 tire so whichever rim width would be better 9 or 9.5? thanks for all the help...

theres a lot of talk about wheels spacers in there and the first line says it does not apply to 69. thanks for the link though. i really want to stay away from spacers/adapters due to a bad experience in the past. I just want to bolt on the wheels and drive the car. I know things arent always perfect but the less making car fit the wheel, the better.

Sorry, I thought you wrote 68. PM Jon at driverzinc but I'm guessing he's going to tell you what Musclecarjohn did in this thread: https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=55062&highlight=camaro+backspacing for the fronts. If my response has done nothing else its bumped your question to the top.

I'm sure Jon will concur since he set mine up...4.75"-4.875" in front on an 8" wide wheel and 5.5" on a 9.5" wide rear...is about perfect on a '69 Camaro.
Problem is,AR doesn't do 1/4" incremental b/spacing so if you run their wheels, you'll either have to use a 4.5" front (which gets you close to the outer fenders) or go to 5" if they offer it...which may limit your turn-in.

AR is currently out of hoops (have been for months) so if you're set on them,be prepared for possibly a lengthy wait.

Thanks fellas,
I've talked to him a few times on the phone already, I think he's found the info he's looking for.... I told him the same thing on the AR wheels, so I have him some options... New Gen, Schott, Rushforth, all wheels we can do for him that can be built quicker, and better.

Another wheel I forgot to mention is the Curtis Speed Wheel. You can see them in our online store.
