      Textured Finish on sheetmetal interior?

Whats goin on PT forum members,

I wanted to know if there is some type of paint product that can be applied to sheet metal surfaces to give the look of of a stock interior plastic finish

I mean like the dashs you see on newer cars that have rough finishes, but not too rough (not like bedliner)

I'm planning a sheet metal dash and interior, but I don't know if I want to paint it to match the body, or make it look like a high end luxury car dash with two tone leather and that plastic finish.

Here is the look I am thinking about going for with brushed aluminum accents and multiple tone interior panels:

      Any help is greatly appreciated!

      Thanks

Or consider wrapping the metal parts in vinyl. That's how my interior guy did it...

Thanks guys, I think i might be able to pull it off with a textured pattern leather. Thanks for the suggestion. I sent a PM to Weaver, his shop is the one that did that corvette i linked, and asked him if that's how they do it (hopefully its not some proprietary information so he can share it lol)

I used gravel guard on my gas tank and then painted and cleared. on my console, I filled the ebrake handle hole and used paintable bedliner and painted. The console was out of a 98 camaro and in matched the plastic texture.

SEM makes a paintable textured product for a plastic appearance. Like gravelguard, you can slightly vary the amount of texture you want by adjusting the spray distance.

      Texture

I believe the SEM brand stuff is called Texture Coat...if memory serves me correctly. Good stuff.
