Frank at Prodigy is great! He has helped me with my Camaro a few times...however, I went with Noel at Touring Classics for my brakes...Corvette based, buy parts at any flap and very easy instructions..13 inch up front and 12 in the back...easy installation and easy park brake hook up....make sure you plan your wheels at the same time....those big brakes take up lots of room!!

Yup -- first step is going to be to sort out what wheels you will be running. 15" wheels are limited in terms of what size rotors you can package. 16's are a little less limited. Many 17" wheels will package bigger brake upgrades.

Net thing you need to ask yourself is -- what do you want out of your disc conversion? Does it need to look really good (typically a big brake upgrade) Stop repeatedly at speed (road race, autocross, canyon carving?) or just serve you in basic drive/cruise...

Hi Frank,
Would this kit work with my 9" ford rearend? It isn't built yet, still waiting on wheel delivery to get final measurements. Also, I'm assuming since it includes emergency brake cables it has emergency brakes on the rear?

I just wrote a eHow on my disc brake conversion on my 68'. I don't know how involved you want to be in your conversion. I did mine myself. Total cost is about the same as some lower level conversion. If you have any questions on how I did mine. Please feel free to email or pm me.

For the money, and if you can't or don't want to spend the extra money for the top dollar brakes, you can't go wrong with this setup. I've seen these other places for a few hundred dollars more. I think I'd give Frank a call. Many people have use Prodigy and I don't think there's been one negative thing to say about them.

I used them for a set of wilwoods front and rear on my 69 camaro, and could not be happier. I even called and spoke to frank to pick his brain and he had no problem answering any questions I had about the conversion.
