Aarik is there a build thread on this Camaro?
Hugger67RSSS
12-09-2013, 01:21 PM
No, sorry. I'm not a frequent poster and didn't take many pics while working on it. I built it in my dad's shop other than having the minitubs installed. Pm me if you want to know any details

do you plan on AutoXing the car or Roadcoursing it?
Hugger67RSSS
12-09-2013, 07:02 PM
Both, but because of my location probably more autocross. I plan to do the Midwest Muscle car challenge this year and they just added the road course part of the event again. With my schedule (college football coach) not sure how many times I will make it to other events far away with road courses.

Would I be allowed? I'm from big Lake Minnesota. My truck is a 1997 c1500, all custom suspension, built lsx, built th350 trans, built 10 bolt, lightly upgraded brakes. sees plenty of track time, always driven hard and put away wet lol. In the process of painting it.

Does my car fit the street fighter rules? Right now it's getting redone car will have the spectre Camaro flares not molded in bolted on and painted satin black as well as all the chrome and trimming and it'll have 18x11 and 19x13 wheels on it with 315s up front and 345s up front just got another subframe to start to build up with all hotchis suspension and c5 brakes front and back and have a l92 and soon a t56 to drop into it car will have ac,heater and navigation however as since it will be daily driven and with all the confusing street names around me it's kinda a must I do plan on auto crossing this car though a lot!

Even if the thread doesnt bounce to the top too much believe me.. things are going on..
the idea from the minute I started this was to spread the Streetfighter style and message as best as I can..
so if you are in CA all the way to IA then you need to get your A off the couch and get with the others and make meets of your own!
either way.. were out here in ATL.

Hey Vengeance, Looks like a good crew.
I just finished my 73 TA. I would call it a street fighter (with a nice paint job). It has been built to be abused.
I am living in north ga now but will be moving into Atlanta inside the perimeter in the next month and would love to be a member. I used to be in the import scene as well and was a member of East Coast Honda a loooong time ago. Have graduated from a few different Honda and Acura's to the TA.
She's a 73 TA, started life as an esprit, looked for a clone since I knew i'd cut her up a bit and got to work in 2007 on her.
- LS3 with ASAA Cam and heavy duty valves and valve springs
- built Tremec T5
- Full DSE front subframe, DSE rack and pinion, control arms, coil overs, and C6 vette spindles
- Baer 14in front stoppers w 6 pot calipers
- Baer 12in rear stoppers w 4 pots
- Strange 9in narrowed rear - 35 spline axles w Detroit Tru Track
- DSE Mini-Tub w leafs, DSE shock mount, shocks and relocated spring pockets, offset shackles
- Tiger Cage 6 point stainless cage
- 5 point Shroth harnesses
- Recaros
- momo steering wheel
- rear seat delete
- Fikse 3 piece rims with custom painted centers:
18x9.5 front 19x11.5 rear
- Pilot power tires - wide front and wider rear
- lots of other pretty and necessary stuff....
I haven't tracked her yet, but only because I'm working out the bugs and small issues as she was just finished and in proper break-in running order for a few weeks. I do have a current competition SCCA and NASA license so it's only a matter of time. I'm going to start with Auto-X and get her dialed in.
Looking forward to the SCCA Solo event at the braves stadium parking lot in ATL June 1. Should be ready to thrash by then. :fire fire:
Oh yea... pics.... Since it's freshly finished I am picture crazy so you will have to forgive me for multiple posts in several threads w pics of it. I am proud of what my fiancé calls "my new Mistress" (although the cars been around longer than I've been dating her) :drive:

haha... not sure if I should say thanks or be offended! :squint:
It did turn out a little prettier than originally planned but the paint, radio, and a/c are about the only things that don't have a purpose - make it go, stop, and turn faster than it ever did before. She may be pretty but she's a hooligan for sure!
Maybe I should just offer a ride in it? Anyone riding shotgun will realize it ain't just a show car. :6gears:
Awesome mustang by the way DarkBuddha.... that year looks mean, I've always liked that body style the best.

I meant it very much as a compliment... it's not that it's pretty, it's that it checks all the right boxes and has all the right gear. Forget how straight the panels, forget the paint, forget the shine, forget how clean everything is. That car is LEGIT!
And thanks... I love my Mach. I bought when I was 15 and that was 26 years ago. So yeah, I'm kinda a fan of it too.

Nice T/A and definitely a thrasher.
Whats with the Falcon off to the side in the last picture?
thanks... Nice eye! the shop that built my car (GTS Customs in Baldwin,GA) also builds, preps, and repairs road race and oval cars. The Falcon is an oval track (asphalt) car that runs in a modified class. I think it's making upwards of 600 hp and is all glass. BEAST...(other car is a spare)
93439
That white Mustang is a bad boy too. Slap a tag on it and it would be the ultimate street fighter. Has won almost every race in it's vintage road racing class in NASA. Tons of hp and grip. Haven't driven it but can say it is a monster!
93440
93441
I have driven this silver coupe... it is capable of running 1:39 - 1:43 laps at Road Atlanta with me in it, maybe faster with a little more skill behind it. More metal and closer to stock 289 and TONS of fun. Someone else built this car and successfully raced and won in it, GTS has worked with the setup and fabricated the aero stuff. Rock solid at 140+. I would love to see this thing a street brawler one day, just needs some headlights and a plate! (and registration... details, details)
93442
93443
apologize for the highjack... for a good car porn cause and would be on street fighter topic with a few license plates!

Some really cool cars in this thread!! Hope they keep coming!
Agreed. This Streetfighter ethic is right up my alley. The cars posted here inspire me to get to work on my heap.

ya might be a lil foggy on what a Streetfighter is..
You are most likely on point for 2014 but then I did say my old Chevelle was an "old school" street fighter :)
Today, most likely wouldn't stand a chance with current technology machines . . .
Back in '69, nothing ever beat me on the street or late at night in the flats where we ran 1320's until our spotter saw flashing red lights headed our way :yeah:
Late, late one Saturday night in March 1970, had the speedometer needle pegged - tach at 7,000 RPM - movin' right along :)
Back in '69, A COPO/Dick Harrell Chevelle was the ultimate "street fighter" with 450HP, 4.10 Posi, HD TH400 with 7,000 RPM shifts, SST-802 Tach, HD cooling, HD brakes,
HD suspension + rear sway bar - no comfort features but it did have a factory installed AM radio :yeah:

Hey everyone I think I have found my inspiration for my car build as a street fighter. I know my car is not everyone's first choice or even last choice but its what I've always wanted to do to it. There is a car that is named The Napalm Nova. It is pure business and no frills. I know my car (which is a 1972 Chrysler Newport) is a sled of a car to start out with but it is very solid and has a super strong motor to start with. Let me know if anyone else has seen heard of or likes the style of the Nova.
Thanks Tom

Yeah my sled is a 1966 Caprice 4dr hardtop sport sedan, no post.
My thoughts are lower, bigger wheels, shaved rear handles, tighten up rear gaps.
Plans are for pull release in side front of rear door, have it hidden and use electric poppers too.
I figured my buddies dad had passed, they would have sold it for just parts, and I really think it could look bad ass and be a cool larger streetfighter.
Now my Monza with be LETHAL with a twin turbo 283.
