I have 2nd gen camaro with baers brakes the c4 13'' rotors and c4 hd calipers. Was thinking of upgrading the caliper to a c5 z06. Anyone now the differance in the mounts. Was also wanting to know if Foose Legand 18'' rims would clear the c5 rotor and caliper. Thanks

totally different mount; the caliper plate needs to be moved inboard compared to a c4, well, at least if you are using c5 calipers on c5 rotors. Mine clear 17" rims fine, so unless the spokes are in an odd spot you should clear the rims fine.

Iwas thinking more of a hybrid c4 rotor and c5 caliper. If you were to put the two calipers back to back how off are the mounting bolt holes.( c4 caliper to a c5 caliper )Thanks:ssst:

C4 rotors are 1.1" thick, while the C5s had rotors that were 1.25" thick. This can cause a situation where the pads might actually slide out of the abutment if they were down to the very end.

I've got both around here, I'll take measurements tommorow night unless some has them handy.

Which is it? Do you want to to run C5 rotors/calipers with the Foose Legend wheels or do you want to run the C4HD 13" rotor with the C5 caliper similar to Touring Classic's "Hybrid" kit?

As for the pad abutment brackets, the C4 M14x2.0 mounting hole spacing is 130mm center to center, 2mm wider than the C5/C6 PAB at 128mm. The radial position of the outside edge of the C4 pad is about 14mm further away from the spindle center line which has to be made up for in the position of the mounting holes for the PAB.

Anything is possible, but I don't see an easy way to just add a spacer and make it work type of solution. I think you would need to design and machine a bracket from scratch to mate the C5/C6 caliper to a C4HD 13" rotor in a GM tall-spindle application. Doable but you still have a situation where your caliper is best suited to a 32mm thick rotor whereas the C4HD rotor is only 28mm thick.
