540' chevelle
06-01-2008, 08:35 AM
Front 18 x 8" - 13mm / Rear 18 x 9.5" - 25mm - 5 on 120mm center bores 72.6mm and 74.1mm

Does any one on here know if these will fit a 1970 chevelle I do not know about these back spacing. The look good in my opinion and for $599 I can find a better price.

There are others on E-bay that look real good and the price is great.

Yes they will fit. I have been running them for 4 year's on a 70 chevelle. The rear's have a 1/2" spacer to better center the tire in
the wheel well and i used 1/2" wheel stud's and cut them to length. I have done three power tour's and numerous shorter trip's and have not had any problem's.

Wayne.

Thanks for the info. What rear tire size do you have? I would like a 295 if possible. Are you using a 35-40-45?. What about the front?

Are you using a spacer or an adaptor?

Thanks again for your help.

I think those rims are killer, could we see some pictures of your car. I think I have seen it before did you post on team chevelle about power windows and locks?

From the small picture I can see the stance and that is what I want my car to look like.

i have them for my 70 z28!!! i got the machined ones so cause i had plans of painting them... i stripped the clear off did a ton of wet sanding to smooth out the machine marks and lots of polishing to get a true polished look...:hammer: also painted the center a charcoal color.
pics of how the came...

and of one wheel ive done.

but fyi they are not as advertised... the box and website said
18x8 13mm 18x9.5 23mm
but wheels stampings are both et20mm front and rear andrear wheels are only 9"s
but still for the price you cant beat them and they look great.

Did you get them from e-bay the same link?

Are you using 1/2 studs what lug nuts? Only 9" not 9 1/2 will I be able to run a 285 tire you think?

What tires are you planig on using.

They sure look good.

Thanks for posting.

no im not gonna up grade the studs, but im also not gonna use 1/2" slip on spacers.

What is the name or style of this wheel? I looked on the link but couldn't find one. Is this a replica of a OEM BMW wheel? The painted centers are fantastic! Great job. BTW, 20mm = .7874"

thats cause most "tire shop" guys are idiots...
you just need get some that have the offset for a 5 or 7 series car (less backspace) you can use the ones for a 3 series but youll need adapters ..
they probally said that cause the bolt pattern are note the same on paper...ours a sae and bmws a metric so to them they see that a ASSume they wont work... they are not identical but so close its perfectly fine to use them...its like a 10thousanths of an inch difference...

I know they're OEM and I'm pretty sure it's on E34 5 series cars, but it may only be E34 M5's. They're BMW style 37's.
