Got my brakes in today and are looking good. They are LS1 twin piston calipers made to fit a g-body spindle. Best part about this setup is that it was very affordable compared to the name brand kits - plus I get to keep the stock geometry with the g-body spindle. Now I just have to track down some nice slotted 12" rotors and I'll be set.

Looks cool, were did you get those? hey Tony, why would you want to keep the stock G body geometry?

A guy off the TurboBuick board did them for me. I'm going to see if he minds me passing out his contact info before I do. And I was mainly referring to keeping the g spindle vs. the b-body one. I guess I could always do a tall lower BJ to improve the stock geometery - but this solution is a no-brainer vs the big-time 'kits'.

That rear bracket needs to be welded? Was there any other fab work needed to mount them?

No,this is the bolt on kit..you can weld if you want.the only fab work was welding the hardline tabs on the axles were they connect to the soft line

I have brackets available for the LS1 setup as well, laser cut and zinc coated as seen below. Hubs are zinc coated and have longer studs installed for you. I can do C5 brackets too:

So do these kits work with say a drop spindle? cuz if I was gonna go and take my front end apart again I'd go with the drop spindles this time.
But this brake stuff is really overwhelming at times, so maybe I'll wait a bit longer to get money/information LOL

Dropped spindles work fine with these type brackets as they mount to the dust shield bolt holes which will be in the same locations on stock or dropped spindles, IE a 2102 BT dropped spindle.

Robert is a great guy - these were packed and shipped better than I could have imaged. I'd like to go with a dimpled or drilled and slotted rotor for a little bling, but we'll see how the budget goes. And glad you like the GN shirt! A gave a couple to Robert for his hard work.
Jack: That is the speedway motors kit. Look on their site and you'll see it for about $299 made to fit the 7.5 and 8.5 rears.

thanks man, this looks like a lot better option than all that searching and buying for the b-body swap and no bump steer.
