I've always wondered why someone hasn't come up with the idea of a clear barrier between the wheel and the brakes to keep the brake dust off the wheels? Kinda like the wheel accents http://www.newstalgiawheel.com/accent_detail.asp?subcat3=5041100
Why can't they make a clear one so you can still show off your brakes but it keeps the dust off the wheels? Maybe it could be coated with something that the dust doesn't stick to?
***the more I type the more I realize it's pointless b/c the dust will just get on the wheel accent. Just throwing it out there.

I *could* tell you about a spray coating that comes in a can that you could spray onto your wheels that brake dust wont stick to, that works *AWESOME* and lasts for at least a month, I *could* tell you, but I can't. Soon. Very soon on a store shelf near you....

I had major dust problems on my Audi and BMW's, the factory pads make a helluva mess. I've used several good aftermarket pads that are low dust, and they made a huge difference. Try Hawk, PBR or Axxis.

I participated in a market research for a new product that should be on the market "this summer" from a major "protectant" company. We used it for a few months. It works FANTASTIC. Imagine NO break dust build up. for a month! *Even after washing*

It hasn't been done in the PT world since it would adversely affect brake cooling!
The coating sounds cool though!!

tony- so this "stuff" has shown no negative effects on the wheel them self. ie:chrome, polish, paint, powercoat
