Anyone ever make their own door panels ??? What material did you use for the backing?? Are there any good sites that sell stuff to help make your own panels ???

This place comes to mind. Although it is geared towards street rods, they do sell some 'universal' materials that you might be able to make work.

Aircraft Spruce sells thin ABS plastic panels for exactly this purpose. Pretty malleable stuff.

Yes sir, for mini tubs also, with speaker pods built in. Eternity has some, but I cannot post anything until SEMA.

Roddoors is supposed to be making an entire kit for first gen camaros including door panels, console, and overhead console. You might want to give them a call.

Were 7 days from releasing the panels. They will debut at SEMA and I promise this to be one awesome Pro Touring interior. Tuesday morning, October 31, the morning of the SEMA show, the complete build sequence and finished photos of Jagarangs Badd Ass Firebird will be on the ProdigyCustoms.com.

Were talking European luxury meets American Muscle with a ever so slight street rod influence all while incorporating proper speaker placement.

Were just 6 days from pics Payton. The first panels will fit 68 / 69 and should be out for X mas. The 67s will be very similar, but will leave the painted door tops. I will alos be trying to fit full 68 / 69 panels for 67s, but have not worked that out yet

I've seen some of Jagarang's firebird pics from Sema, but didn't see anything on your site specific to the pannels. The pannel specifics still slated for christmas? Would love to learn more about these.

I'm in the market before the end of the year and Frank is saying sometime in January now for the 69's. I can't wait that long.

Aluminum makes the best base for door panels, kick panels. We have used it for years.I have been making molds for a couple of months for the first gen camaros,i am waiting for all the bids to come back on lay up,this way we can keep doors, kicks, consoles, package trays, and rear panels in stock.i will also be producing seats that will be cut for the floorboards.will be posting results in Jan

ABS is the best lightweight and water proof route to make custom panels from.

I used black waterproof board to make mine. I bought it at local uphostery shops, did my whole interior myself (except the stitching on the seats)

I ordered all my foam and material from www.interior-supply.com

We hired a in house fiberglass guy as I was having a hard time getting stuff done through the sub shop. So he will be on that project as soon as he finishes the wing. I also need to have a pow wow with the panel designer to see what we can do to get the plugs finished as that is like pulling teeth also.
