:hmm: Can anyone tell me if the rear seats from a 4th gen will fit in a second gen?

I am in the middle of doing this at the moment.

The bottom parts are the same size, but the mounts are different. Instead of the spring/hook of the 2nd gens, there is only a bolt at the front center. At the moment I dont know if I can bolt straight into the floor, or if I need to make a bracket.

The back part is narrower, by a good 8 inches or so. There is also a fair gap beteen the bottom of the upper and the trans tunnel. I managed to get all the fittings and brackets out of the donor car as a start point. The hinged sections (bottom corners) required widening about 2 inches each side, but the top posts/hook bit are pretty much OK width wise, but will need massaging to match the inner wheel well.

One in, I expect that the inner lower trim panel will need cutting to fit around the new brackets, and I will have to make some form of 'dressing' to cover the new brackets and the gap.

On the positive side, the lines on the upper and lower sections do line up OK.
