Well….didn’t think this through. 66 GTO going from a 10 bolt to beefed up 9” with back brace.

Ridetech muscle bar won’t fit….easily.

Any ideas??

I figure I can cut the bracket that bolts to tube so it’ll fit. I’ll then weld it up to tube instead of bolting it down.

The problem is I won’t be able to bolt sway bar bracket to tube bracket.

You can eliminate the U strap and weld a nut to the top side of the Ridetech bracket and bolt in from the bottom up or drop a bolt down and tack the head in place so it acts as the U strap.

Also there is a guy in the Pro Touring Chevelle FB group that makes brackets for the coilovers on these rear ends

I was thinking same thing about bracket last night. Thanks for the reply, and also the guy on the chevelle touring site.

Any idea who that might be?

Join Pro-Touring Chevelle on FB and search Justin Nall. The group has a red 66 Chevelle as a cover photo
