      Speedtech preformed brake lines safe?

Just wondering but the speedtech pre formed brake lines for their pro touring subframe have single flare ends with -3 fittings

Isnt it true that single flared brakelines are not suitable for high pressure lines?

Would a double flare work with AN fittings?

      Thanks

Looks like they use sleeves so I don’t see an issue.

Thanks Don, i may have to make a new line but my flaring tool doesnt have a die for single 37° flare. Would a double flare work with AN fittings?

I used double flares for my AN lines, no issues. If you think about it the only thing it changes is the thickness of the flare itself. Of course the double flare is much safer and better. But just as far as the fittings are concerned, no issue there.

If it were me I’d use a proper tool and the sleeve especially if you are using stainless. If not I would at least use a conical seal with a double flare on AN fittings.

I have the vice mounted flaring tool with the spring loaded lever and die blocks but i dont see a die for just a single flare.
Step 1 is bubble flare and then step 2 is then formed to a double flare
When i match the double flare against the female AN fitting it seems to seat well. And the sleeve sits well also. I just need verification i dont want my lines to blow while driving

I would use conical seals if I was using the wrong angle flare.

AN fitting is 37' angle and conventional double flare is 45'

I was always told not to mix...

I had to return my flaring tool since the turret was for 45° flares. An extra 37° turret would cost me over $100 so i just swapped out to the 37° system

      Thanks for all your help!

I have the Speedtech subframe for my Camaro and am debating on getting their kit or making my own lines. Whats your opinion on the kit? Worth it?
