Does anyone know if there is any aftermarket bluetooth controller for Vintage Air Gen IV? I know Restomod Air offers one for their systems, just wondering if anyone has ventured there for VA?

Here in California they really don’t want you monkeying with your phone while driving.

Well I live in Michigan for one and secondly I want to be able to control it via a bluetooth head unit. Thinking that if someone made a bluetooth module there would also be app that could be loaded on any radio or tablet.

At first I didn't understand why you would want a blue tooth AC system, but it makes sense now if you want to put an app on your head unit - that's a "cool" idea. Look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Did you get this installed? If so, how do you like the system? I have the vintage air (not yet installed) and realized the controls and vents are from the 80’s and Restomod Air has some great Accessories and the Bluetooth option. If it works good and fits easily, i may give my unused VA to the husband for his 68. [emoji16]

Any updates on the bluetooth functionality? I think it's a great idea, just not sure about their execution.

very old post, but why not just build one, you need 3 10k ohm digipots, and a controller, I don’t see the need for Bluetooth but here’s what I’m building…

touch screen controller that fits the OEM chrome face of the factory controller. Found a monitor in China :)

Also added 3 temp sensors

I found a solution to your Bluetooth and vintage air, if you still own the car and had a fancy to do this post me.

Here are some updated photos of my project, I sprung for everything, gear shift indicator, tire pressure monitor, vintage air dimmer and sw1 sw2 control, and a novelty KITT screen, all accessible from the same touch screen by swiping right or left.216403216404216405216406

very nice! Will that output to a double din radio screen?

This looks like only a touch display, how are you actually controlling the Vintage Air and Dakota Digital systems?

The touch screen controls a quad digital-pot on the control box, also has three temp probes inside/outside/duct, and tire pressure monitoring. Here’s it in action:

It’s also got the Dakota digital dimmer and sw1 and sw2 built in.

I’m adding a Bluetooth pairing to display iPhone notifications, if my wife text me it will pop up on the screen.
