I'm buiding a console for my 69 Camaro and want the console door to open front to back, so what kind of hinge is needed for that and where can they be purchased. Thanks in advance

A regular piano hinge should do the job. Any big box store would carry those and a huge selection of small cabinet door hinges.

The above answers are correct. You can use a piano hinge (one that is continual). Depending on the size of the lid, you can get these up to 36" long probably longer if you looked. These come in different widths as well. Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, Ace Hardware etc will have these. Look around you'll find something that will work.

You may want to go here:
https://www.mcmaster.com/#hinges/=18al8z3
Check out the options and make your decision on what catches your eye or may work better. There are so many neat hinges out there I would look at the selection before just buying a piano hinge. Self closers may work well. Something along that line that would help to keep the lid closed and prevent rattles. Just rambling here... You know what you want/need. :)

Go to the boneyard and find an OEM one that fits your build, there will be 1000 consoles there

Agreed, If McMaster doesn't have it, you don't need it.....
