1972 Monte Carlo Wheels and Tires

I am building a PT 1972 Monte Carlo. I am installing an air ride system on it, and was wondering what the biggest wheels and tires I can put on it without modifying the wheel wells, or wheel openings. I also need to know the widest.
      Thanks for your help.

People put 10" rims on the rear all the time with a 295. Get on the first gen Monte forums, there's a bunch of forums on the widest rims you can fit without modification. I'm basically doing the same thing minus the air ride. I'm gonna run 12's in the rear with a 295-50 and maybe 12's or 10's in the front.

You can run about a 10" but you'll need about 6.5" backspacing to safely clear the fender lip without any modifications.
