      Wilwood Narrow Superlite

Anyone know if the Wilwood Narrow Superlite 6R kit will work with 17" Torq Thrust 2s? I've herd that kits that fit most 17's won't necessarily work with the TT2'S. I would prefer not to use a spacer. I'd like to use 17x8" with 4.75" BS with Wilwood 140-9803 on my 1968 Camaro that currently has drums all the way around. Any help would be appreciated

I believe they do, but don't quote me on that. There are a couple of variations on the TTII, a one-piece cast wheel and then the two-piece cast center with custom BS options. The one-piece has better brake fitment than the notoriously bad two-piece variant, however most seem to want custom backspacings and therefore buy the two-piece wheels. There are some additional options on some wheels that can improve brake fitment, especially since you may already be running them through the American Racing Custom Shop.

The Wilwood wheel fitment templates are here: http://www.wilwood.com/Images/BrakeK...564_wcd-lg.jpg

You could always contact American Racing's tech department and ask the source.

Thanks Tobin, I sent American Racing an email. I pan on running the one piece wheels.

Keep in mind the wilwood kits make the front track width wider by .38 inches when using stock style spindles. This will effect your wheel offset.

Is that wider than drum brakes or disk brakes ? On most GM factory brake setups the disk systems are about a 1/4 inch wider than their drum brake counterparts .

It moves the wheels out .38" if it has drums on the front and I believe it's .19" for factory disc

when I test fitted my 17x8.5's 4.75" backspace on my kit they had plenty of room.
