I will be attending a few track days in the next month or so, and I'm curious if anyone else has run Wilwood "big brake" 12.19" brakes on the track with any success. Mine are on a 1st gen, 12.19" front and rear with the standard BP-10 pads and Wilwood 570 fluid. I recently bled fresh fluid through them. Should I stick with the pads I have? Car is 3160# without me in it and I am running 245/17 front and 275/17 rear 200TW.

I personally feel like those are more of a street pad, what kind of "track day" are we talking about? Road racing or missing cones in a parking lot? I mean you could swap over to PB-20's or better if on a road corse.

No cones, it will be a track with about 100mph top speed

I would look into Hawk DTC-60 pads

Ok thanks, looks like they make them for my calipers. Maybe I'll buy a set and bring them along, they are easy enough to change. I take it you have used them? I was more concerned about the (somewhat) thin rotor not being able to shed heat. They do stop really good now, but I'm not sure how they will be once they heat up.

Not a problem, you will notice a big difference
