Yes I've searched but much is old information, some of the vendors are not even in business anymore. Looking for a combo unit that will keep 500 hp cool, had a bad experience with Griffin so that's out. So what are you guys using and how was the install, don't mind a bit of modification but really didn't want to fabricate a bunch of brackets?

My Chevelle and El Camino both have Ron Davis rads with Spal fans. No overheating issues with either.

We use BeCool on just about everything, -and Chevelles are always a bolt in.

C&R Racing, you can get them configured in a multitude of ways including with built-in oil and power steering coolers, but they are not cheap.

I'm running a BeCool rad and a 3300cfm Flex-a-Lite fan. Have not had any overheating issues.

Yeah it seems that none of them are inexpensive. Seems crazy to me to spend $1500 on rad and fans.

Im using a factory '69 V8 radiator with Windstar fans and a Derale controller. Far outcools the clutch fan I had on there.

$510 or $550 depending on year of your Chevelle.
I have one of their full kits in my Cutlass, no problems whatsoever.

It doesnt appear that any of them offer a fan controller for the fans. I build a 3-speed universal harness which is powered from a 4-gang relay bank. PM if you want info on it. But as for fans, how much mounting depth do you have between your radiator fin area and water pump? I'd go for an OEM fan over an aftermarket fan any day.

Thanks for the responses guys, seems I'm going back with Griffin exact fit. The vendor I bought it from stepped up big time, I'll fill in details when I get the new one.

Champion Radiators is another source. Their radiators are not too expensive. I am putting one on my C4 Corvette with 700HP. They are located in Orange CA.

I am using a Becool and Flexalite 3300 CFM, just like another poster above, it works great in my 427 Chevelle, the car sits at 180 in stopngo traffic all day long.

I'm using a CBR unit with dual fans.. all I need was to make a cover and sit the radiator or rubber cushions .. no matter how hot it is outside the car never heats up... between the mezier electric water pump and the CBR setup running temp on the freeway was 165

I just installed one of their units. I got the highest cfm fan option, nice piece and works well. I have one fan hooked to a 195* trigger and the other to the a/c clutch

I got an Afco. With many of these companies you can buy a "universal" radiator that has the same core as the "bolt in" radiator for a lot cheaper. But you will have to fab mounts for it.
