I'm putting Electric-life power windows in my 65 Chevelle convertible. On the quarter windows, I can't get them bolted in because the motor is hitting the inside of the door jamb. I am installing them oriented just like the picture, with the motor on top and the arm towards the rear or the car. The bolt pattern seems fine, it's the motor that seems to be the problem. You can see the little bump out on the back of the motor(far right on the picture) that is where it's hitting the jamb. Anybody else have this problem? I'll give electric life a call but hopefully somebody here has had first hand experience with this.

Electric-life told me to just drill out the mounting holes in the quarter until the motor fits. Will that effect the arc the arm travels on and create a bind?

Shouldn't you ask them that? I didn't have to do anything with my electric life kit.

Yes I asked that, he said its not a problem. Just concerned they just say that to get me off the phone and not really solve a problem. I was hoping somebody here has had first hand experience with this.

Be sure your kit is for a vert because they are different for a coupe.
