That's cool! I'm looking at a few on EBay right now, one set is red.

I would love to stay around $400 but most are close to $800 :(

Excellent find...they are a tight fit but well worth the effort.

Has anyone ever tried to put the rear seats in a First Gen Camaro? What would it take to install the rears?

I personally think they look bad ass in front & rear. The original rear bench seat was ridiculous & uncomfortable. Rear buckets are perfect & fronts hold you tight around turns, adjustable lumbar & fully electric

I have a set of GTO seats also for using in my 69 Camaro build. I have read you lose the power track assembly underneath because of the height. Can you share info on your brackets and install? I would be very interested in what was necessary to do this, and will help me determine if I want to sell them or not and stay stock with new covers or go the TMI sport seat route.
      Thanks

If you are weight conscious, late model GTO seats are rather heavy.

The front seats were installed without losing any of the electric functions & mounted with slight modifications to the gto stock brackets. The rears I pulled the leather back cut the brackets & some foam out, welded the brackets back together & merely welded tabs on the back to secure then to the vehicle. Drilled some holes in the back area to secure them where the stock bench seat would mount. The rear bottoms I pretty much did the same however they are secured with the stock lower hinge on the floor & hill into the rear backs with the stock bracket. Hope that makes sense. Not a lot of work really & imho they turned out awesome & look great. Weight wise I have no idea how much they weigh versus another type of seat but with an ls2 as my daily driver, no track days, it really doesn't matter to me. I prefer comfort & style. There is also a really great install thread somewhere out there on how to go about putting these seats in. Look around.

Going from memory here but my stock seats were around 32 pounds each and the 2005 GTO seats weighed in at a svelte 65 pounds each. Pretty sure I lifted them in and out of the car 30=40 times before getting the mounts finally in place, but they were and are worth every pound IMHO...
