Well, my $30 eBay dash crapped out. I am sure it comes as no surprise to anyone, but this component failure made for an excellent excuse to upgrade. I did a bunch or reading and learned about options, in the end I opted for a Bluetooth obd2 device, an iPad, an Amazon mount, and a usb-c hardwire kit from eBay. All in about $170. Getting it to work with the realdash app was a bit harder, I got it to work but it was super laggy on Bluetooth settings, In the end I got it switched to can bus, and am quite pleased with the result.
