As far as I know, I could be wrong. But, i've heard that you can print fake business cards and use them to get in.

not this year, they are really cracking down on it. If your new this year, they want tax ID...Pay stubs or W2 copies.

SEMA is cracking down on general "public" attending the show. Last year, you could print a fake business card showing you were in the automotive business. This year you also need add'l documentation such as a copy of your business license. So, I called my local cities finance dept. The business lic fee is dependent upon the # of employees, and, your gross annual sales. For a business with 1 employee and gross sales of 0 to $999, the annual lic fee is $5. I made up a fake business name(example, "Joes Racing Parts"). Next, go to Staples/Office Depot and get business card stock(@$15) and make up some fake business cards. And there you have it! Small price to pay to get into SEMA!

Do these requirements apply if you're a SEMA member?

It is a lot harder this year. Also more difficult to get a bunch of people in. But if you were in last year, they are checking nothing. Prodigy Customs was no problem because we have been before, GP SuperStore got the anal probe!

Clint, does H&H not have a business license? Sounds like you shouldn't have any issues at all getting in?

What if I went last year but the shop I went with is not going this year? Would it still be possible to get in?

I can prob get the tax # again from them but if I don't have to go that route I won't.

I really would like to go again.
