BBC Procharger
I have a nice 454 bbc (10:1, stock rods arp bolts, steel crank) We just built the motor not long ago and I was thinking about adding a procharger. Is this a bad idea (Do I need to beef up the bottom end) or is it possible to run a procharger on this setup without tearing anything up
Thanks

08-22-2005 #2with that high of compression you would only be able to run 6psi if you have aluminum heads and it would be suggest that you use an intercooler..
You are not at all crazy..Project JUST-N-SANE
84' Camaro Z-28, 355CID,9.0-1 compression, ATI procharger 9psi (over 650HP),T56 6 speed, 3.73 Motive gears! 11.70 at 122mph in the 1/4 while babying the throttle to keep the tires hooked ,with pump gas! (NOW INTERCOOLED)
