Wow, if Only I had a time machine to go back in time and buy one of these.

The price isn't too outrageous considering what Yenkos and Baldwin Motion cars are snagging. Well-documented and authenticated Motion cars are in the 400-500K range last I heard.

Q: is your price a typo? you are INSANE if not...I offer 50K for the car based on blue book appraisal

A: yes the price is accurate. But look on the bright side, if you could afford this car your wife would probably leave you for buying it. Well, you probably have to check with her before purchasing anything anyways. Good Luck!

The owner is not afraid to price things. I am sure that is his bid and he is testing the water. I could be wrong, but I don't think ZL1's are quite there yet. If someone bits though it will be good news to all that have the more rare cars.

Of course, if it were 1/2 that, I would still have to pass, just too rich for my blood. Great car though for the real players.

You'd rather spend half that on a "Pro-Tour GTO", huh Bill?!

I don't know, last I heard was that '67 Zs were starting to go for over 100k, and they built 602 of those. The ZL1 is really the king of the hill as far as collectable Camaro's (except for the Z convertible, maybe). They made way more Yenko and Baldwin Motion cars.

You are correct sir. 69 in 69. All aluminum 427 BB. The only thing I can think of right now that one ups this is the ZL1 Vette. Only 2 ever made.

The seller, Jim, has set a few records for cars and parts, but this is phishing at its purist. Although, some big fish may bite. Even if it doesn't, it still brought a $750K bid right? So it must be worth close to that.
There are a lot of nubies in the market place, and people are inheriting more and more money at a younger age. So he may just land him one.

I think you hit it on the head there WS6. I really don't think he plans to sell the car, however, what a slick way to advertise your wares to your target market. Any collector in this market would probably have a need for the intakes too.
BTW , The 69 Yenko camaros where pretty rare too only 198 total production. Remember, while everyone always knew the ZL 1 was rare, the Yenkos were raced, abused and destroyed for years before some finally decided they were rare too. I wonder in reality how many real Yenkos are really still out there?

Here is an excellent write up with paperwork examples and survivor stories.
      http://www.camaros.org/copo.shtml

      VINs: http://www.copo.com/ZL1-vin.htm
According to this page, only 47 are accounted for.

The Ebay car states it's #40, and it coincides with the VIN listings, which are public.....
