      MSD on my 69 Camaro

To start, the setup is a 6.0 LS motor with a MSD 6010.

So I am getting a hellava ping at 2000rpm in 5th and 6th gear. According to the MSD manual at 2K i am at 26 degree's. What should I do? I am running 93 and its not helping any. Should I pull timing?

Spark plugs are OE, not exactly sure what they are. Carb is a Holley 650 DP...

if the MSD is running your programing, don't for now, just use the #3 chip and put in some good plugs, NGK TR55 and gap at .40

OK running the recommended settings. Still pinging, pulled 10 degree's out at 2000K, still pinging. I'm starting to wonder if I hear something else that sounds like pinging. In 5th going down hill with light acceleration, its making racket. 6th gear doesn't seem to make the same noise? WTF?

Went on LS1Tech and everyone is running their own timing specs and not using any pills. The general idea is that the LS motors love timing. I don't have access to a dyno so Im outta luck on that one.

I'm running 93 and its still making a "pinging" sound. I'm starting to wonder if its something with the transmission ( It seems to only happen in 5th )?

      Any other thoughts?

      Thanks!
