      Changing Stereo to Mono...

I want to run my two channel Panasonic 8 track into one 4 x 8 dash speaker...

Isn't there a way I can connect a resister in series with one of the channels so I can connect both right and left channels to the same speaker without backfeed?

Both the speaker and the tape player are 4 ohm...

      Thank you....

It's called bridging but I doubt you can do it safely with that 8 track. Your best bet is to get a couple 3.5's and a bracket from Autosound to mount them.

Or if you do want to keep a single speaker they have Dual Voice coil speakers now. It has both left and right hookup's only one runs the woofer tho, one channel ends up being only tweeters.

I was wondering how they did that with the dual voice coil, too bad you will loose all the mid range and low tones from the channel that just feeds the one tweeter...
