Mid size ford rear suspension options

Anyone have any experience with the 70's mid size ford stuff? We're looking for rear suspension setups for a 72 Torino sport and possible air ride or coil over conversion. It has a stock four link and a nine inch. Any opinions/ experiences would be appreciated a ton. Thanks

I used a universal four link on my fairlane works good but my car is a unibody.I can't remember but I think the instructions said it was for a S10.

I don't know of any "off the shelf" stuff for these cars, but the basic setup is pretty good. I would build some new adjustable control arms with urethane or rod ends as a start. Mounts for coilovers shouldn't be too difficult and sway bars are available. As I said before, it is basically a good setup, just needs a little "firming" up to make it more responsive. I have had a few of these cars over the years and would like to do a pro touring build on another but have to get some other projects out of the way first. Good luck.

As for that car give ridetech a call in rear CoolRide would be a snap to install and they probably already have something to fit or possibly mod or mix parts by checking spring app book. Lots of ford stuff will interchange
