      69 Camaro brake kit suggestions

Hey all. I’ve picked up a 69 Camaro that I’m going through to make a real world driver and part time auto crosser. I’ve already ordered a AME rear tri4 rear clip and need to figure out the brake situation. The car is a 4 speed car so I need to have a Ebrake no exceptions and the rear will be Ford 9 inch. The front end is factory 69 camaro power disk with camaro subframe. What would you guy’s do? I’m on a budget for this one so Stop-tech is out of the question. Right now I’m looking at the Kore3 kit or the Willwood kits with ebrakes. Is there another brand or set up I should be looking at? What would you guy’s do with the front end? Does anyone make a bracket, rotor and caliper kit to run bigger brakes on the factory 69 camaro disk brake spindle? It seems that the best real world set up would be a C6 bolt on set up mainly because I can get the parts anywhere.

      Any suggestions would be appreciated.

In your shoes, I'd lob a call to Tobin. You will never go wrong with that dude and he always speaks honestly, even when he may not make a sale. Next C5/6 is a great option. They'll do the job on a driver and AutoX. Just for giggles, you can price out a Z06 set up or look for a slightly used one. The DBA rotor option will make that expensive though.

Another idea I really dig is the CTSV brakes adapted to our cars. There's a great thread in the brakes scetion on it, but it'll take some custom brackets to make it work. Good luck buddy!

EDIT #2: Reading that thread, maybe they won't work with C6 hubs nor adapt well to c6 upright, so that maybe a deal killer for you? They sure are purty tho :D

I am running C4 HD front rotor (13") with tahoe calipers (dual 51mm piston (heavy) - LS1 Camaro/Vette rear rotors (12") with Turbo coupe/Cobra rear calipers (they have integrated e-brake provision and 41mm piston). This is one of the cheapest routes. I will be creating the rear bracket soon with the GM 10-12 rear. front bracket is already done.
Tobin is the expert though, I'm just playin...

Wholly molle The CTSV Brembos have got me sprung! Please hit me with any info you have.

So is this set up figured out? Are the brackets available for a ford 9 inch rear?

The front end of my car is stock 69 camaro single piston disk brakes.
