The above description is from Shiftworks web site. I purchased this for my 68 Camaro. I added to small pieces of metal with screws (that you can remove by just taking the screws off it) to it so I could slap shift it. This Detent plate has positive stops so you want skip a gear or go into neutral. I'm installing a 4 Speed Auto so I ordered the one for a speed. This cost me $75, plus shipping. You can have it for $50, and I will take care of the shipping.
